SALIMA-(MaraviPost)-Tonse alliance government key partner UTM women on Friday, March 4, 2022 donated food item to Salima’s flood victims.
National Director Of Women for UTM Annie Makuta accompanied by Central Region UTM women, donated maize to people of T/A Kalonga in Salima affected by recent Tropical Anna.
UTM women donated 550 bags of maize of 50kg to each person and completed the exercise on Saturday, March 5, with the distribution of a further 450 bags.
The beneficiaries are from Samaiwa, Somwa, Fuli and Yonamu villages received the relief whose areas were hit with storms that resulted in the loss homes and other properties.
National director Annie Makuta appealed to well wishers to assist people who were affected by the Tropical storms Ana and Dumako.
A representative of T/A Kalonga expressed gratitude to the UTM women’s timely assistance saying will bring impact to the affected families.
