LUSAKA-(MaraviPost)-A wave of shock has swept through Lusaka after a 22-year-old woman identified as Rabecca Mubanga, popularly known on Facebook as Metisha Mubanga, was arrested for allegedly producing and circulating obscene videos that have gone viral on social media.
According to the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC), Mubanga was apprehended during a joint operation conducted by officers from the Zambia Cyber Security Agency and the Zambia Police Service.
In a statement issued to ZNBC News, the Zambia Cyber Security Agency revealed that the suspect, believed to be residing in Kamwala South, Lusaka, allegedly recorded the explicit videos between May 24 and May 26, 2026.
Authorities say the disturbing videos, which rapidly spread across multiple social media platforms, reportedly show the young woman engaging in indecent acts at an undisclosed location within Lusaka District.
The incident has sparked widespread public debate online, with many citizens expressing concern over the growing misuse of social media and digital platforms.
Mubanga is currently detained at Woodlands Police Station as she awaits formal prosecution.
Meanwhile, investigations into the matter continue as authorities intensify efforts to curb cyber-related offenses and the circulation of explicit content online.
