The winger aged 28, is a World Cup and European Cup winner and has been a key part of Deschamps’ squad for nine years.

He was barely used at the finals in Germany, despite Kylian Mbappe’s broken nose, Antoine Griezmann’s loss of form and Ousmane Dembele’s inconsistency.

As per L’Equipe, Coman played just over 15 minutes at the finals-in Les Bleus’ second group game, the goalless draw with Netherlands.

However, the cut increasingly frustrated figure as the tournament progressed even seeing young Paris-Saint German winger Bradley Barcola usurp him in the pecking order.

Coman is considering ending his international career, following the announcement that manager Deschamps will be remaining in place and leading France to the 2026 World Cup.

Coman who has scored eight goals in 57 games for his country.

He struggled for fitness towards the end of Bayern’s disappointing Bundesliga campaign with a hamstring injury.

But he proved his fitness in the build up to the tournament and was duly selected.

But according to L’Equipe he has been ‘scarred’ by the finals and being consistently overlooked.
