LILONGWE Maravipost: Simplex Chithyola, the current minister of finance, has denied reports on social media that he is not running for the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) member of Parliament.
Chithyola, who represents Kasungu South in Parliament, is prepared to compete against Vasco Mtunduwatha Chimbalu and Joseph Manguluti.
In an interview with Maravipost on Friday 4th April, Chithyola, said On Sunday, April 6th, there will be three candidates competing in the MCP primary elections.
“Am contesting for the primaries this coming Sunday and I will win,”said Chithyola.
This will be the initial constituency for the member of Parliament who is currently serving in the August House after the other primaries were held in the newly demarcated constituency.
