The Cape Town Cycle Tour is set to take place on 8 March 2026, and we have all the road closure details to help you plan your travels.
Dubbed the biggest timed bike race in the world, the event attracts thousands of cyclists from around the globe as they ride through some of the city’s most pristine landscapes.
Road Closures
As a result of the 42km and 109km races, many Cape Town roads will be closed from Thursday, 5 March, until Sunday, 8 March 2026. This list is provisional and subject to change.

Parking Restrictions
Residents in Muizenberg, St James, Kalk Bay, Clifton, Bantry Bay and Sea Point (including Victoria Road and Beach Road) are urged not to park along the Main Road. Please use alternative side roads or designated parking areas.
Road closures will be in effect from midnight on Saturday, 7 March until 6pm on Sunday, 8 March in several areas. In Bakoven and Camps Bay, Victoria Road from Camps Bay to Seacliff Road will be closed on both sides. In Sea Point, Beach Road from Queens Road to Beach Road in Mouille Point will be closed on the sea-facing side only. In the Cape Town CBD, Darling, Strand, Adderley and Riebeek Streets will be closed on both sides for the same period.
