Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST) in conjunction with Malawi National Examination Board (Maneb) on Tuesday, October 13, released the much awaited 2015 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examination as 75,296 out of 136, 296 students qualified representing 55.24 percent pass rate.
Manfred Ndolvi, MoEST’s Spokesperson confirmed the release of the MSCE exams results on Tuesday, evening to The Maravi Post saying 38 students and 454 students’ results have been disqualified and withheld respectively while students who did follow proper procedures when writing examination were not appearing on results shit for further investigation.
Ndolvi said this year’s MSCE exams results have slightly increased by one percent as that of 2014 the pass rate was 54%.
“Generally, the results have improved and increased with a percentage though at a lower rate. This year’s examinations weren’t marred leakages with little cases of cheating. Therefore, students will be able to access their results starting on Wednesday, October 14 as soon as Maneb upload them on its website.
“We are encouraging students those expecting to seat for next examination to take them seriously as a MSCE will remain the only certificate one might be with as plans are underway to abolish Junior
Certificate Education (JCE)”, urges Ndolvi
