BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Jai Banda populary known as Mr Entertainer has called on the local musicians to do music that have a Malawian taste, and stop copying other countries style of music.
In an interview with Banda said after doing music for a long time local musicians, “Still don’t have music that that people from outside the country can easily identify it as a Malawi product.As Malawians we should have music with our own identity.
“We should have music that when played outside this jurisdiction people should say yes that is music from Malawi, after all this years we really don’t have identified music like our friends south Africans, so its high time we should wake up and establish something identifiable”.
Banda who owns entertainers promotion limited that won UMP awards in December 2019, and currently his son Tondrai runs the entertainers promotion due to ageing of his father.
