Dedza Secondary School teacher dies in motorbike accident

Mzuzu-(MaraviPost)—A secondary school teacher has on Sunday 31 January, 2021 died in a motorbike accident in Dedza.

According to reports, the teacher, who was identified as Clement Kwatawamba, was riding a motorbike from Dedza Town to Dedza Secondary School, where he was teaching.

Upon arrival at United Purpose Offices, near Dedza Bus Terminal, he hit a cyclist and due to impact, he fell off the motorbike and hit the road surface by the head, since he had no clash helmet on.

Since it was dark, another motorcyclist, who did not quickly notice the injured person hit him thereby exacerbating the injury and causing him to die on the spot.

The body of late Mr Kwatawamba was immediately taken to Dedza District Hospital where medics confirmed that his death was due to head concussion and chest injury.

Late Kwatawamba, 32, hailed from Chaweza Village, Traditional Authority Mwambo in Zomba.
