Pressure mounts on Atupele Muluzi to resign as UDF leader

Atupele Muluzi faces resignation calls

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi is trouble following numerous calls from party members that he resign as its leader.

Some UDF members are accusing Muluzi for failing to rebuild the party.

But the party has put its foot down on members calls for junior Muluzi’s head.

UDF Spokesperson, Yusuf Mwawa told Zodiak online that those want Muluzi out should wait for him to finish his five-year second term, saying the party is finalizing its strategic plan to rebrand.

UDF went into alliance with Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) against Tonse Alliance during June 23, 2020 Fresh Presidential elections which it lost to President Lazarus Chakwera who face Peter Mutharika
