Airtel 2015 Golf Sponsorship Returns with a Bang in Malawi

The year 2015 is midway through and leading mobile telecommunications operator, Airtel Malawi, is back with a massive bang on the golf course with a mega MK6 million sponsorship in the sport of golf.

The first episode of the five tourneys on the menu of Airtel this year is taking place at the Limbe Country Club in Blantyre on Saturday this weekend.

 

About 100 golfers are anticipated to be part and parcel of the golf galore at the Limbe Country club courtesy of Airtel Malawi.

“We are excited to host this golf tournament and as per our tradition, the brand Airtel is ready to spoil the golfers this Saturday.

“Airtel is committed in the development of different sporting activities more especially the game of golf. As a major telecommunication network in the country , we believe we have a huge role to play in assisting government in this effort of developing different sports disciolines in the country” Airtel’s Public Relations Manager Edith Tsilizani is quoted as saying ahead of the golf tourney.

Golfers that merge triumphant in various categories of the 2015 Airtel golf premiere stand a chance to win iPads, state of the art Samsung handsets, golf accessories, notepads, memory sticks, airtime and trophies.

The 2015 Airtel maiden golf fiesta comes barely two months after the leading telecommunications operator powered the Malawi National Golf Team with a MK4 million donation to participate in the Zone IV 2015 that took place in Uganda.

Last year, Airtel Malawi held a chain of incredible golf tournaments and made impressive donations to individual golfs clubs across the country
