LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Salvation for All Ministries International, under the leadership of Apostle Clifford Kawinga has provided 2,771 bags of maize to communities under Traditional Authority (T.A) Salima in Salima District.
The maize, packaged in 50kg, 25kg and 15kg bags, is aimed at easing food insecurity among families facing ongoing economic and climatic challenges.
The outreach conducted at Group Village Head Kaphatenga Ground, where hundreds of beneficiaries gathered to receive the assistance.
Speaking during the donation ceremony on Monday, January 26, Apostle Clifford Kawinga said the initiative reflects the Church’s commitment to demonstrating God’s love through practical action.
“As a church, we believe that faith must be accompanied by action.
“This donation is not just about food, but about restoring dignity, hope and reminding people that God has not forgotten them,” said Apostle Kawinga.
Kawinga therefore said the prayers are meant to remind communities that God remains the ultimate source of restoration and hope.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the community, Senior Chief Salima expressed gratitude to the Church for responding to the needs of his people.
“This support has come at a critical time when many households are struggling.
“We thank Salvation for All Ministries for standing with our people and showing compassion,” the chief said.
One of the beneficiaries, Amina Imlan, described the donation as a blessing to her family.
“Food has been a big challenge for us,receiving this maize means my children will eat and I can focus on other needs. I am very thankful,” she said.
In addition to the distribution of relief items, the Church is also conducting prayer sessions, emphasizing spiritual encouragement alongside material support.
This year, Salvation for All Ministries International (SFAMI) has already reached communities in three districts Lilongwe, Nkhotakota and Salima as the food aid program continues to roll out to other areas.
