LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Salvation for All Ministries International, under the leadership of Apostle Clifford Kawinga, has reached 25,071 beneficiaries through its Hope Field Initiative since 19 January 2026, providing food relief and agricultural support across nine districts.
The outreach has covered Lilongwe, Nkhotakota, Salima, Mzimba, Mulanje, Nsanje, Chikwawa, Thyolo and Luchenza, targeting families affected by the ongoing hunger crisis caused by erratic rainfall.
Speaking during a food distribution exercise for families on Saturday, 6 January 2026,under Senior Chief Nanseta in Luchenza Municipality, Apostle Kawinga said the Ministry was compelled to act in response to the national hunger situation.
“As a church, God has given us wisdom to be part of the solution,”
.“Beyond food distribution, we are also providing farm inputs to smallholder farmers to support irrigation farming and help curb hunger sustainably.”Kawinga said
He added that alongside the relief items, the Church conducted prayers, emphasizing that God remains the ultimate source of restoration and hope for affected communities.
Receiving the donation, Senior Chief Nanseta confirmed that 2,200 bags of maize were distributed to Mangunda Court Ground in Luchenza Municipality and another 3,000 to Traditional Authority (T.A) Nanseta in Thyolo District.
The Chief described hunger as a serious challenge in the area explaining that crops failed after the rains stopped abruptly while maize was at the flowering stage.
One of the beneficiaries, Fyness Maluwa, expressed deep gratitude, saying the donation came at a critical time.
“I have gone to bed without food for the past two days,” she said. “I stay alone with my son, and I am often not included in relief programs. This support means a lot to us.”
Another beneficiary, Chifundo Namagowa, applauded Apostle Kawinga and the Ministry for the assistance, saying it would significantly help her family.
“I urge the Ministry to continue assisting other vulnerable people.
“May God bless Apostle Kawinga and add more to his pocket so he can help many more,”she said.
The Hope Field Initiative continues to combine immediate food relief, long-term agricultural solutions, and spiritual support, offering hope to thousands of families facing food insecurity across Malawi.
