JILIN PROVINCE-(MaraviPost)-In china, Tian has been named the oldest mother after giving birth to a baby girl at the age of 67.
The baby that has been delivered through a caesarean section has been named Tianci meaning “gift sent from God” and has been reported to weigh about 2.56 kilograms at birth.
The mother who worked as a doctor before retiring got pregnant after naturally using traditional Chinese fertility treatment that she administered to herself.
The physician in charge of the delivery told the state run broadcaster CCTV as having being quoted by CNN: “we were lucky given that the mother was at an advanced maternal age and had a variety of complications”.
This has come in after China lifted one-child policy in 2016. Tian has beat the record several years after another woman gave birth at the age of 64 in east China’s Jilin province.
