LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The progress of MK14.5 million Chipiku CRFA Premier division league has convinced the organisers CRFA Committee.

The Committee led by the chairperson Austin Biton Ajawa said this on Monday, May 17,2021 through it’s vice general Secretary Antonio Manda when both witnessed the progress of the game involving Ekas freight Wanderers and Kamuzu Barracks Reserve.

Manda said with seventeen games played so far, no game has ended prematurely, no fracas as it has been the case in previous seasons.

However Manda, was surprised to note that the officiating team which handled the game was from within Lilongwe which he said it was against the rules and regulations for the league this season.

“As Association we agreed with our fellows from Referees body that they will be rotation and we are surprised to see this today,We will make a follow up on that”, Manda added.

Responding to this Chairman for the Central Region Referees Association (CRRA) Dancun Lengani said it was by design as Lilongwe has a good capacity of qualified and professional referees and has a large number which is about fifty center men hence some officiating games within the city.

Airborne Rangers against Support Battalion at Salima community ground on Friday,Godfrey Nkhakananga who officiated the game is from the same district.

Lengani said Nkhakananga is an international and professional referee and comes from another zone in the district hence assigned him to officiate the game,” we will look into another alternative because people have shown concerns on that”, He explained.

Ekas freight Wanderers defeated Kamuzu Barracks Reserve by a goal to nil to revival their hopes of progressing to the next stage of the league, thanks to Austin Mvula’s late goal.
