Dalitso Kabambe, who has expressed his intent to run for the leadership position at the upcoming UTM Party convention, arrived at the party’s headquarters to officially collect his nomination form. Kabambe was welcomed with excitement by supporters, including women and youth clad in party regalia, who sang songs of encouragement and cheered him on as he made his way to the registration area.
Inside the venue, Kabambe joined other candidates who were also there to collect their nomination forms as they prepare to compete for various positions within the party. The energy at the headquarters reflected a strong show of support, with many eager to back Kabambe’s bid for party leadership.
The entry fee for those vying for the UTM leadership seat has been set at K20 million, while female and youth candidates enjoy a discounted fee, paying half the amount. This inclusive approach by UTM aims to encourage broader participation in the party’s leadership and promote diversity in its ranks.
