LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Country Director of Development Aid People to People (DAPP), Moses Chibwana, has revealed that the organization’s recent meeting with Vice President Jane Ansah was a significant step towards strengthening partnerships between DAPP and the government of Malawi.
The meeting was primarily aimed at congratulating the Vice President and President Arthur Peter Mutharika on their election win in September 2025.
Chibwana emphasized that DAPP values the collaboration between the organization and the government, and they deemed it essential to introduce themselves and share their work with the Vice President’s office.
DAPP’s work spans across various sectors, including education, where they have established teachers’ training colleges and vocational training schools.
They are also involved in health, food security, and job creation through the second-hand clothes business, which has proven to be a vital source of employment for many Malawians.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for DAPP to explore potential partnerships with the Office of the Vice President and Dr. Jane Ansah Foundation, which shares similar goals of empowering communities.
Chibwana highlighted that both organizations are working towards a common objective of uplifting the community and enabling them to stand on their own feet.
The discussions between DAPP and the Vice President’s office were fruitful, and they are expected to continue working together to drive positive change in Malawi.
Chibwana expressed optimism that their collaboration with the government will yield tangible benefits for the people of Malawi.
The meeting has set the stage for DAPP to continue its work in Malawi, with renewed energy and support from the government.
As DAPP and the government join forces, the prospects for community empowerment and development in Malawi look promising.
