
LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-DVV International, a global education think-tank has introduced a Diploma course in Adult Education and Development at Malawi’s Catholic University (CUMA).
The program aims at providing formal education in relation to developmental agenda of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), goal four that includes adult education and learning.
DVV International Regional Director for Southern Africa, David Harrington told the media orientation on Adult Learning and Education (ALE), Monday, December 7, 2020 in the capital Lilongwe that program will reduce knowledge gap in trainers.
Harrington disclosed that the Diploma courses will commerce January 2021 as enrolment applications are underway.
“We want to provide formal education ALE whereby individuals will be able have qualifications for teaching intensively,” he said.
The DVV International’s training attracted editors, sub-editors and senior reporters from various media houses including electronic, print and online.
DVV International has partnered with MISA Malawi by introducing ALE Media award which aims at awarding excellence in ALE reporting.
The institution has been operating in Malawi since 2017.
