BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Freedom Party (FP)leader who is also former Vice President Khumbo Kachali on Sunday went into electoral alliance with Malawi Congress Party (MCP) a head of May 21 tripartite elections.
This comes barely hours before MCP leader Lazarus Chakwera presents his nomination papers as the party torchbearer for May 21 polls.
I joint press conference in Blantyre, Kachali and Chakwra assured the nation of formidable team to dislodge the incumbent President Peter Mutharika.
This means that FP President will not be on ballot paper during the elections.
In the same media briefing Chakwera resigned as Member of Parliament (MP) for Lilongwe North West constituency and my position as Leader of Opposition in Parliament

We have not forgotten – this is the guy who when he was vp, he stole hospital beds from Mponela and took them to his home hospital. He is too selfish. I can’t vote for him or his coalition.
