The hero of Carlo Collodi’s children’s story, The Adventures of Pinocchio (1883), a wooden puppet who comes to life as a boy and whose nose grows longer whenever he tells a lie.
Joyce Banda claims: “The Baker Tilly Forensic report was done independently by an international audit firm that was funded by the British Government, according to this report, all those that stole money and those who benefitted are in that report”
Joyce Banda defenders claims any findings outside this report is politics and attempts to assassinate Dr. Banda’s character.
Not so say many Malawians. Many people in Malawi do not trust the Baker Tilly report. The best that can be said about that so called report is that it was incomplete and was produced maliciously. The worst is that the report was done to exonerate Joyce Banda.
If the only evidence in her defence is the Baker tilly report then the glow from afar is definetly her nose growing longer and longer.
