Kasungu Mother Care Group praised for promoting childhood vaccination

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost )-The Malawi Health Equity Network (MHEN) has commended the Kasiya Mother Care Group in Kasungu for their efforts in promoting vaccine uptake among children under the age of five.

Speaking during a monitoring and mentorship exercise on Monday, MHEN Assistant Project Officer Herbert Chakwawa praised the group’s advocacy work.

“We are pleased with the mother care groups’ performance in encouraging childhood vaccination,” said Chakwawa.

On her part,Kasiya Mother Care Group Chairperson Lestena Kaponya reaffirmed their commitment to collaborating with MHEN to improve vaccine coverage.

MHEN is implementing the Health System Strengthening Immunisation Project in the country with funds from the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI).
