Limbe Muslim Jamaat (LMJ) has distributed Ramadan food packs to 1,100 families in Chiradzulu District.
The distribution event took place at Chiradzulu Secondary School, where beneficiaries gathered to receive the much-needed assistance.
Speaking at the event, LMJ Public Relations Officer Ibrahim Omar emphasized the importance of sharing during the holy month of Ramadan and beyond.
He encouraged Muslim brothers and sisters to give generously, stressing that charity is a fundamental principle of Islam.
One of the recipients, Freda Chilungo from Kanyenda Village, expressed deep gratitude for the donation.
She stated that the food pack would significantly help her family, which is currently struggling with hunger.
LMJ has set a target to reach 11,000 families with food packs as part of their ongoing charitable efforts.
Each food pack contains 10kg of maize flour, beans, sugar, salt, and soya pieces to support families in need.
