BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Transporters Association of Malawi (TAM) has expressed its frustration as a result of failure of government to sort their grievances.

TAM President, Lyton Dzombe has disclosed this today following failure of government through the Ministry of Transport and Public Works to increase minimum transport rate and implementation of 60 – 40 percent load distribution.

He added that lack of response from government has resulted into financial problems on the members of the association.

This has resulted into inability of truck owner to pay the minimum wage that their employees ought to get.

The association has also disclosed that it will hold vigils on 13 January if government will remain silent on the matter.
