Malawi President Mutharika joins Muslim Ziyara Parade in Lilongwe

President Mutharika joined the Malawi Muslims community across the globe in the Ziyara Parade on behalf of all Malawians and the Government of the Republic of Malawi.

 

The parade started close to the Kampala Building went along Kamuzu Procession Road and later, branched off to Bwalo La Njobvu heading to the main venue where all the proceedings were to take place in Lilongwe.

The President says he had a wonderful experience, it was his first time that he has graced an Islamic event as the State President.

The President said by joining the Ziyara Parade signifies his personal as well as the Malawi government’s commitment towards religious freedoms and tolerance in the country.

I wish all Muslims happy peaceful celebrations, said Malawi president Mutharika.
