Malawi Veep Chilima’s convoy involved in Blantyre road accident

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-One of the police vehicles on the convoy of Vice President Saulos Chilima has been involved in an accident just before Lirangwe Trading centre on the M1 road.

Pilirani Phiri, spokesperson of the office of the Vice President, confirmed the incident.

The last police vehicle on the convoy burst its front right tyre just before Lirangwe as the convoy was making its way to Blantyre from Lilongwe.

Minister of Industry, Roy Kachere who was coming behind the convoy was also caught up in the same accident while trying to avoid hitting the police vehicle.

Kachale confirmed that he is okay and no one was hurt during the course of the accident.
