Government diginatiries amongst them Vice President Saulosi Chilima are expected to attended the 8th anniversary of the passing of Lackton Mulli, the father and founder of Mulli Brothers Limited who died in 2006.
The ceremony will be held this coming Saturday in Nyezerera village in Traditional Authority Kaduya’s area in Phalombe.
Also expected to attend is former first lady Callista Mutharika.
Chairperson of the main organizing committee Reverend Dr. Billy Gama on Wednesday said all is set for the function.
“The function will start with the service of worship to be led by Father Ezeniyo Ntharika of the Roman Catholic Church, to be followed with the main commemoration, which will include performances from the Great Angel Choir”, said Gama
Reverend Gama also asked the country’s education authorities to consider giving Mulli an honorary Phd for what he contributed to the country’s business sector.
The invest is expected to attract about 5,000 people and about MK20million has been invested in the commemoration.
Mulli and the Mutharika’s are said to have a close relationship and Mulli is said to have supported the campaign of both Bingu WA Mutharika and his young brother current President of Malawi Peter Mutharika.
