The Minister of Natural Resources and Climate Change, Owen Chomanika, presided over the commemoration of the 75th World Meteorological Day at Machinga TTC ground. Upon arrival, Minister Chomanika inspected pavilions showcasing climate change messages, emphasizing the importance of addressing this global issue.

The event drew notable attendees, including District Commissioner for Machinga, Rodwel Mateauma, Traditional Authority Sitola, and other traditional chiefs and community members.

This gathering highlighted the collective effort to raise awareness about climate change and its impact on Malawi.

As Minister of Natural Resources and Climate Change, Chomanika has been at the forefront of addressing environmental concerns in Malawi.

His appointment to this position in January 2025 demonstrates the government’s commitment to tackling climate change.
