Member of Parliament for Thyolo Thava constituency, Mary Navicha, has emerged victorious in the Democratic Progressive Party primaries, securing a landslide win with 844 votes out of 846. The polls were held on Wednesday, with delegates from 282 area committees in Dzimbiri and Thava participating.

Navicha’s opponents, Benjamin Kachikho and Davie Mpambadza, garnered minimal support, with Kachikho securing two votes and Mpambadza failing to secure any votes. This decisive victory underscores Navicha’s strong support among party delegates.
