Nigerian police chief Kubwa shoots dead corporal, injures deputy Superintendent,commits suicide

ABUJA-(MaraviPost)-Police Inspector of Dutsen Alhaji, Kubwa, Abuja has shot dead a Corporal and injured a Deputy Superintendent of Police before he committed suicide.

Deputy spokesperson for the police in the area, ASP Miriam Yusuf has confirmed the incident.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that the deceased Inspector fired a shot at the Corporal leading to his death and injuring a Deputy Superintendent of Police before he committed suicide,” she said.

Circumstances surrounding the incident still remains unknown and the Commissioner of Police has ordered a discreet investigation into the incident.

Yusuf added that police has condemned such unlawful acts and she has urged with the residents of the area to remain calm while continuing providing security in their homes throughout the festive season.
