BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)—Reverend Mwai Kamuyambeni has resigned as National Director of Operations and member of opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
Kamuyambeni says he will announce his next move in due course.
“Being a Reverend I need to pray first and when I make a decision I will let you know,” he said.
He once served as legislator for Ntcheu West but lost in 2019.
Prior to 2019 elections, Kamuyambeni had described both the then opposition Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and UTM officials as snakes, saying they had criminal activities to answer to Malawians.
“These propagating as if they are innocent, as if they are angels but they have worst records of crimes in this country. Don’t listen to them,” said Kamuyambeni.
It is a culture of politicians in Malawi to switch loyalty whenever there is change of government.
