1 Min Read

The Rotary Club of Lilongwe City Centre is set to host a fundraising golf tournament on June 28 at the Lilongwe Golf Club, with the aim of raising MK150 million towards the construction of a maternity wing at Ukwe Health Centre in Traditional Authority (T.A) Kabudula.

The project has a broader budget of MK350 million, and the club is optimistic about meeting its fundraising goal with the participation of at least 70 golfers.

According to Club President Graham Chipande, registration is already underway for teams of two or four, as well as individual golfers.

The club is particularly keen on encouraging participation from women and youth to make the event a success.

The golf tournament is part of the Rotary Club’s efforts to give back to the community and improve healthcare services in the area.

The Ukwe Health Centre project is expected to benefit from the funds raised, providing much-needed maternity services to the community.

The Rotary Club’s initiative is a commendable effort to make a positive impact on the lives of Malawians.
