Scaring!Malawi’s Covid-19 cases rise to 56

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Its scaring! 13 more cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed at the Liverpool Trust Laboratory in Blantyre.

Malawi’s Minister of Health and Population, Jappie Mhango disclosed on Saturday, May 9, 2020.

According to Mhango, seven cases are contacted from a Thyolo case and five are health workers from Blantyre.

Mhango added that healthcare workers are tracing all the contacts of the 13 cases so that they can also be followed up and tested.

Meanwhile, Malawi has registered a total of 56 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the first case was reported with 3 recorded deaths, 9 recovered.
