BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The high court sitting in Blantyre on Friday, April 16, 2021 found former Malawi president Peter Mutharika’s security aide Norman Chisale with no case to answer.

Making his ruling Court Judge Sylvester Kalembera said the state has failed to provide proof that Chisale had intention to kill the Blantyre based woman Sigere Amini .

On his part Chisale’s lawyer Chancy Gondwe has described the arrest as politically motivated.

Gondwe has further disclosed that his client will sue the government for compensation.

Judge Kalembera has argued that the accused being a bodyguard of the president had a right to use the gun when he felt that he was attacked.

Chisale still answers other numerous charges including money laundering, fraud and murder.
