The finish line is in front of South Africa Paralympian Oscar Pistorius as he spend the next 24 hours preparing for his release from prison tomorrow.

This follows the decision made by Correctional Supervision and Parole Board to place him under house arrest

He was convicted of culpable homicide last year for killing his girlfriend Reever Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day two years ago.

According to reports Pistorius will be processed at the Poyntons Centre in Pretoria and will then be taken to his uncle’s home in Waterkloof.

The precise conditions of his release have not yet been made public but it is expected he will have to do community service and will have to undergo continued psychotherapy.

The athlete’s release – after serving just one year in prison – has been criticized by women’s advocacy groups complaining it is not sufficient for taking a life.

But there is a lucking possibility of him returning to jail, his case will be heard by the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein in 15 days
