Blantyre, February 11, 2015: Epac FC defender Tsanzo Dalio has said his heart beats for Mighty Be-Forward Wanderers and has disclosed he wants to play for the Nomads this season.
Dalio was recalled by Epac at the start of the 2014 TNM Super League second round after Nomads failed to settle transfer balance amounting to K1million.
Epac FC also popularly known as ‘Njenjete zamu Lilongwe’ had asked the Football Association of Malawi (Fam) to intervene on the wrangle of the pint-sized defender.
When he was recalled by Epac, the player still had a two-year running contract with Wanderers
Even before the start of the 2014 second round, EPAC wrote Super League of Malawi (Sulom) restraining Wanderers from using the player before paying the balance.
However, Dalio told Nyasa Times on Monday that his heart beats for the Blues and has asked the two clubs to resolve the money issue as soon as possible.
“Iam just pleading with the two clubs to resolve my issue soon. I want to go back in the field of play and the club which l want is Wanderers,” said Dalio.
The Nomads general secretary Mike Butao told the media last season that that they were still sourcing money to pay for the transfer of the player.
“There is no question that Dalio is still our player and he has a running contract with Wanderers and Epac cannot claim ownership of the player,” Butao told the media.
Apart from being involved in the wrangle with Epac, Wanderers were also in the wrangle with Mzuzu City Rangers over the transfer fee of striker Khumbo Ng’ambi.
