BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Users of WhatsApp have woken up to the good news that the messaging App is planning to introduce a new feature that will allow users added on groups to leave the groups without a notice being posted on the group that they have left.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg

The new plans were announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on his Facebook wall on Tuesday August 9, 2022

On the wall, Zuckerberg wrote “New privacy features coming to WhatsApp: exit group chats without notifying everyone, control who can see when you’re online, and prevent screenshots on view once messages.”

Zuckerberg added that as a company, they will keep building new ways on the App to protect users’ messages from being leaked and keep them as private and secure as face-to-face conversations.”

Many people seem to have happily welcomed the idea.

According to some, they say, they have been added to useless groups but have been failing to leave such groups for fear of letting everyone on the group including admins know that they have left.

Don Silwamba commented “Achita bwino, magroup ena kuvuta kutuluka.”

WhatsApp Messenger, or simply WhatsApp, is an internationally available freeware, cross-platform centralized instant messaging (IM) and voice-over-IP (VoIP) service owned by American company Meta Platforms.

It allows users to send text messages and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images, documents, user locations, and other content.

In 2018, WhatsApp released a standalone business app targeted at small business owners, called WhatsApp Business, to allow companies to communicate with customers who use the standard WhatsApp client.
