BLANTYRE (Maravipost)–The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has called nine foreign based players to join Flames camp in preparation of their 2015 Group B Afcon qualifier against Algeria on October 11 at Kamuzu stadium in Blantyre.
The players, playing trade mainly in South Africa and Mozambique, should join Flames camp on October 6, according to Fam Chief Executive Officer, Suzyo Nyirenda.
They Harry Nyirenda, Limbikani Mzava, Robert Ng’ambi, Robin Ngalande, Josephy Kamwendo, Atusaye Nyondo, Chiukepo Msowoya, Chimango Kayira and Frank Gabadihno Mhango
Meanwhile, Flames coach Young Chimodzi and Technical Director John Kaputa are in Cairo, Egypt attending the FIFA/CAF Conference for National Coaches and Technical Directors.
The conference, organised by FIFA in partnership with CAF which started Tuesday, seeks to discuss the technical and tactical analysis of the 2014 Brazil World Cup competition, which had five African representatives namely; Algeria, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria.
Participants will also be taken through topics such as the Trends in modern football and its impact for coaching and training as well as medical matters at the World Cup and beyond.
