LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Mchinji District Football Committee have communicated that 2021 MK2 million Joseph District Football League will come to an end today, Sunday, September 11, 2022.
Mchinji District Football Committee General Secretary Thom Lemson said all is set for the league completion.
He indicated the ceremony will take place at Mchinji Community ground from 1200hours.On third place Mpazi FC will take on Mikundi Youth while in the finals Mkanda Pirates FC will lock horn with Mahempe FC from 1430hours.
“I can confirm that Mchinji league 2021 season is finally coming to end on Sunday,the league has taken long to finish as we were waiting for the Sponsors to give us the other package of the sponsorship.
“On this day will have two games after that we will present prizes to the best teams, officiating team and others. Let me thank the teams for their patience, Thanks should also go to Joseph family for sponsoring the league”,.
Lemson added the journey in the league has mixed fortunes as they had to reschedule games sometimes because of heavy downpours and other logistics.
He further said,there was a stiff competition amongst the teams who reached the quarterfinals.
Nanjiwa Select FC, Bua United FC, Mahemphe FC, Mikundi Youth, Yellow Camp, Mchereka FC, Mwase FC, Mpazi FC and Mkanda Pirates FC made it into the final phase of the league.
