Cyclone Freddy response: Bishop Simama’ church reaches out Chiladzulu survivors

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Members of Glorious International Church (GCIM) on Easter Monday, April 10, 2022 stepped forward to assist flood victims who were devastated by the effects of Tropical Cyclone Freddy in Chiradzulu district.

GCIM donated assorted food items including blankets and clothes worth over MK30 million to assist over 100 families affected by Cyclone Freddy storm, residing at Nguludi and Chanza camps.

Founder of GCIM Bishop Abraham Simama, said the donation was made possible with contributions from the members of the church.

He stated that church members went to the two camps in Chiradzulu where the storm caused greater havoc that members mobilized resources to help the most vulnerable people affected by the storm.

 “It is GCIM’s hope that this donation will go a long way in alleviating the lack of food and other basic amenities by our brothers and sisters, this charity work has received tremendous support from the members of GCIM, and we glorify God for making us fulfil this,” said Simama.

GCIM is a ministry without walls and a family of believers Committed to reaching people with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ and has branches all over Malawi.
