MANGOCHI-(MANA)-President Lazarus Chakwera has emphasized the importance of faith in nation-building, urging Malawians to continue being God-fearing citizens.

Speaking during a Worship Service at Monkey Bay Assemblies of God Church on Sunday morning, he encouraged Malawians to hold onto their spiritual values, stating that God is the foundation of the nation.

“Today, I am so excited to be part of you in this service of worship.”

“The First Lady and I decided to stop-over and pray with you. Let us continue seeking God’s divine, and let us wish everyone God’s blessings,” Chakwera disclosed.

The President urged Malawians to continue seeking guidance and wisdom, emphasizing that this would lead to a more prosperous and harmonious society.

“Let us encourage everyone for the spirit of working together while believing in God. Let us encourage our children to access education, but also to hold onto spiritual values,” he said.

Resident Pastor at Monkey Bay Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Alex Msoliza Chirwa, reinforced the President’s message in his sermon by encouraging Malawians to refrain from seeking revenge for past wrongs and instead seek God’s will in all circumstances.

He emphasized that by doing so, Malawi could remain a beacon of hope and a shining example for others.

“The difficult situations that we normally pass through are just temporal, as such, we should always be focusing on seeking God’s will.”

“Let us avoid our enemies and because they may delay our blessings,” Chirwa viewed.

Later, Rev. Chirwa presented a gift, on behalf of the Church, to the State President.
