LILONGWE (Maravi Post)—President Peter Mutharika’s advisor on communications and strategy may face a possible chop if information emanating from state house is anything to by.
According to our informant at state house, Malopa is being accused of gross incompetence and lack of integrity for classified information for the State House, the office whose boss is the President who appointed him.
According to the source, state house assessment of his performance reveals that Malopa has achieved nothing since he took the job but instead, he has been spending all his time mud-slinging his fellow advisors as well as leaking state house information.
Malopa instead of protecting the image of the President is said to have been backstabbing his boss by leaking information to the press and his friends which is later published online and social media, in so doing, damaging the reputation of his boss, the state president and the government whose tax payers money is used to pay him.
He is said to be behind critical characters on the social media such as “Chiipira Wachaje”, “Patseni Mauka”, “Mercy Ngwenyama”,and “Maltrida Mwale,” pen names which attack Mutharika and his government.
As that is not enough, the source revealed that Bright Malopa has been threatening several people who fail to bow down to his unscrupulous demands that he will fire them or make sure that they are arrested , for cooked up stories claiming that he is a good friend to the president and a relation to him.
The source claimed that Malopa and his friend are planning to oust State House Director General, Peter Mukhito and if this comes to pass, Malopa will dupe the president to consider him that position or that which was formerly occupied by Ben Phiri.
The source backed his claim by revealing that Malopa wrote a memo to the president recently demanding that his appointments and schedules must be arranged by him, a job which is supposed to be done by the Presidential Aide-De Camp (ADC).
