LILONGWE Maravipost: The country’s vendors are pleased again as the long discussion with members of Parliament resulted in lowering the current price of secondhand clothes to December price.
Indian Business Community representative Habib Ali assured the vendors after a long talk meeting with the Ministry of Trade, Vendors and vendors.
Ali stated that they will comply with the government’s promise to provide them with forex and the price reduction will start tomorrow, Wednesday, February 26.
Vendors representative,Lyson Ching’onga said they are happy with the resolution as the December prices were fair and affordable.
Ching’onga acknowledges the government’s efforts to engage in discussion with both parties, which has bought a positive impact on their business.
Minister of Trade Sosten Gwengwe said the 2020 gazette has impacted the hike in secondhand clothes, which the government has regretted.
He therefore urged the Indian business community to comply and renew their business licenses in line with the government’s demands.
