Ladies and gentlemen, today’s featured personality is Gogo Fabiano January.
He is a proud patriarch with 104 great-grandchildren and 49 grandchildren.
These descendants come from his 10 children, three of whom have sadly passed away.
After many years of dedication to large-scale farming and fishing, Gogo Fabiano is now enjoying a well-earned rest at home.
His favorite meals include a cup of tea with milk, and nsima with fish remains his dish of choice.
When it comes to entertainment, Gogo January loves listening to music on the radio.
At times, he forgets who the current president of Malawi is, but after a while, the name comes back to him.
Such moments of forgetfulness are understandable after living for 99 years.
Born in 1926, Gogo Fabiano has witnessed nearly a century of history and change.
At present, he is visiting his grandson, Norman Mpheza, in Manje residential area in Blantyre.
His home village is Mpingasa, located in the area of Traditional Authority Makhwira in Chikwawa District.
