TEHRAN-(MaraviPost)-Iran has officially announced 40 days of national mourning following the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, with thousands of citizens seen weeping in the streets and attending mass gatherings.
State media reports show emotional scenes across Tehran and other cities, as the country honors its long-time leader.
The mourning period follows his death in a major military strike linked to the United States and Israel, a development that has sharply escalated tensions in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has issued strong warnings to Iran, stating that military operations will continue.
Reports indicate that Trump has vowed continued and intensified strikes targeting Iranian military infrastructure, saying operations could go on “as long as necessary” to achieve U.S. objectives.
