Malawi’s Polytechnic college closed indefinitely over hostel inferno

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Following the ongoing demonstrations that took place at one of university of malawi campuses, the polytechnic, the school has been temporarily close.

According to the memorandum issued from the office of the registrar of the school, the decision has come in due to the fire which gutted down one of the hostels on campus, Nyika hostel this afternoon.

All students have been asked to evacuate from the campus by 6:00 pm today.

The management still remains undecided as to when exactly the school will be opened.

In a statement the management has said the school shall remain closed until a solution to the problem that caused the fracas is found.
