Unbelievable! A 25-year-old man in Ntchisi has committed suicide by cutting his neck using a panga knife.
Ntchisi Police spokesperson Sergeant Gladson M’bumpha confirmed the incident with Maravi Post.
According to M’bumpha, the incident happened yesterday at Chimkombero Village and that police have identified the deceased as Leonard Zakalia of Chimkombero Village in the area of Traditional Authority Malenga in Ntchisi.
Mb’bumpha further said that the Police report indicate that the deceased who was deaf and dumb was molding bricks and after his work, he went to his house where he cut his neck using a sharp phanga knife.
The deceased was found lying dead with blood oozing from the neck. Police visited the scene of crime and took the dead-body to Kamsonga Health Centre. And postmortem conducted at Kamsonga Health Centre revealed death was
caused by loss of blood due to a big cut wound on the neck.
