ZOMBA-(MaraviPost)-Malawi’s Deputy Minister of Lands Abida Mia on Monday, July 27, 2020 warned against illegal selling of land.
The Minister dropped the warning during her visit to some establishments under her ministry in the City of Zomba.
She stressed that in the light of ‘zero torrelance on corruption’ by President Lazarus Chakwera, the long arm of the law will bring to book everyone involved in illegal land dealings.
During the tour, Mia held meetings with officials at the City’s Civic Centre and at Physical Planning Regional Offices.
The Minister also visited Ndangopuma Hill a place where protected land was illegally acquired and the matter is currently in court.
