LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Plan Malawi has boosted Anisha Massacre Basheel’s preparations with MK300,000 ahead of an international fight in Tanzania on 8th May,2021
Basheel who is the Ambassador for girls get equal is expected to fight against Happy Daudi in a six round none title bout.
Speaking after receiving the donation the African Boxing Union and Commonwealth champion hailed Plan Malawi and described it as timely and that it will boost her morale to win the fight.
Rogers Siula Public Relations officer for Plan Malawi said, “Plan Malawi is happy with the performance of the boxer hence the donation”
Siula added, “Plan Malawi International believes that the success of Anisha can inspire the other girls to dream big”.
Plan International Malawi has assisted Basheel with the money to meet her trainings needs including gym.
Lonzoe Defector Zimba the President for Malawi Professional Boxing Control Board therefore hailed Plan International Malawi for the gesture saying will help the boxer to pursue her career.
Zimba therefore asked other well wishers to follow plan International Malawi steps if the sport is to be taken to another level in the country.
