LILONGWE (MaraviPost)- Salvation for All Ministries International, led by Apostle Clifford Kawinga, has embarked on a nationwide food distribution campaign, reaching at least 2,400 vulnerable people in Nsanje District with bags of maize.
The relief exercise was conducted on February 4 at Nsanje Prison Ground through the ministry’s humanitarian arm, the Hope Field Initiative, as part of efforts to cushion communities affected by prolonged dry spells.
Speaking during the donation ceremony, Apostle Kawinga said the outreach was not a one-off event, noting that the ministry has previously supported communities under Senior Chief Malemia.

He also urged residents to take responsibility for environmental conservation, emphasizing its role in preventing climate-related disasters.
“Alongside the distribution of food, we are also offering prayers because we believe that God is the ultimate source of restoration and hope,” said Kawinga.
Receiving the donation on behalf of Senior Chief Malemia, Senior Chief Khumbu thanked the ministry, explaining that Nsanje District has endured a four-week dry spell, which has severely affected food security.
“This donation comes at the right time and will surely change the lives of many families,” he said.
One of the beneficiaries, Bob Maganizo, expressed gratitude for the assistance, saying the district had been badly hit by the dry conditions.
He appealed to other well-wishers and organizations to emulate Apostle Kawinga’s initiative and come to the aid of struggling communities.
He further said that people with disabilities are among those at highest risk, as hunger has limited their mobility and ability to work, making it even harder for them to meet their basic needs.
The food distribution marks the beginning of a broader countrywide outreach program by Salvation for All Ministries International aimed at supporting vulnerable populations during the ongoing climatic challenges
