Blantyre-based Big Bullets fan Jephter Kaponya will get the last laugh to the bank as he has emerged ultimate winner of a cool K1 million in the just ended SMS promotion that Super League sponsor was running to raise funds for the 2014 Champions participation in the CAF Champions League.
Kaponya is a resident of Che Mussa Township in the commercial capital. He was all smiles for the windfall, which he plans to invest in his tyre-fitting business.
“The prize is just like a bonus. Otherwise my participation in the promotion was driven by my interest to bail out my cash-strapped club, and whose participation in the CAF was in doubt until TNM bailed us out and introduced the SMS promotion,” said Kaponya.
TNM in conjunction with Big Bullets FC launched the Big Bullets CAF Champions League SMS Promotion on 4th February 2015 with the aim of raising funds to support Big Bullets Football Club in their participation in the 2015 Confederation of African Football (CAF) club championship.
