MCHINJI-(MaraviPost)-Businessman James Chuma who is also top guru for former governing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) was on Saturday, morning, July 11, 2020 arrested at central boarder district of Mchinji.
Chuma is believed to be one of key DPP cadets and master minders in siphoning government money to finance the party activities.
Mchinji police boarder spokesperson Madalitso Banda confirmed the arrested of Chuma who was trying to escape to neighbouring Zambia for unknown reasons.
Banda said the DPP guru’s travelling documents have been seized until the authorities clears him out for travel.
Chuma was the man to talk to if you want any government business or favours from the former governing DPP who replaced the once flamboyant Leston Mulli.
Chuma was controlling all government businesses with him getting the lions share and in the end funding some of the parties strategic activities like the on going elections case.
Chuma was also involved in paying DPP cadets who have been on a petrol bombing spree lately.
